Effort Reporting System (ERS)
Effort reporting is the method by which the Emory Research Community certifies to sponsoring agencies that direct labor charges allocated to sponsored projects are reasonable and reflect the actual work performed. Effort reporting is required for all federally sponsored research projects, based on the Office of Management and Budget's Uniform Guidance, Cost Principles for Educational Institutions section 2CFRPart 220.
